Katelyn MacKellen (articled student)
Katelyn MacKellan graduated with high distinction from Indiana University in 2005, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree and Music with an outside field of criminology. Next, she attended the University of Auckland, studying law. As an Honors student, Mrs. MacKellan transferred to the University of Toronto to finish her law degree. She is expected to receive a jurist doctor (J.D.) in May 2010.
During her legal studies Mrs. MacKellan worked at the downtown legal services in Toronto providing her with hands on experience in criminal and family law proceedings. Her ongoing legal studies cover a number of areas giving her a diverse legal background.
Mrs. MacKellan was born in upstate New York but spent her formative years in San Francisco and Seattle. In 2008 she immigrated to Canada and looks forward to taking up full-time residency on the West Coast. In addition to her Academic studies Mrs. MacKellan enjoys dance, tennis, and spending time in the great outdoors with her husband.
