Natasha A. Grof

Natasha Grof holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminology. She obtained her Juris Doctor (law degree), graduating with First Class Honours from Bond University, on the Gold Coast of Australia, in 2007. In studying abroad, Ms. Grof has gained an international perspective not only of the law, but also of working with people from various international backgrounds.

Immigration

Ms. Grof works with people from around the world, assisting them to successfully achieve their immigration goals. She is experienced in all Canadian immigration applications, including work permits, study permit, visitor visas, and permanent residence applications.

In addition, Ms. Grof enjoys tackling more complicated immigration matters, helping people navigate the often confusing and ever changing immigration landscape. Ms. Grof also takes cases to, and appears before the Immigration Appeal Division.

Civil Litigation

As a litigator, Ms. Grof is proud of her achievements in a wide range of complex and diverse cases. Ms. Grof is able to build strong positions for her clients, often resulting in a negotiated resolution. When necessary, however, she argues cases before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Ms. Grof has attained success for her clients in settling disputes in a wide variety of commercial matters, in real estate transactions, including breach of contract relating to property disclosure statements, new construction and misrepresentation.

She regularly assists clients in disputes against insurance companies, handling claims involving disability, travel, and life insurance, for example. She has developed effective techniques for settling insurance disputes in a timely, cost effective manner, saving her clients the time, stress and expense of protracted litigation.

Membership

Ms. Grof is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.  She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association with membership in the Immigration subsection.  As well, she is the past vice-chair and past treasurer of the Women Rainmakers-Vancouver Island. Ms. Grof is also a participant in the Women Lawyers Forum Mentoring Program.
